Located in a vast cluster and quite exclusive, this 3 – storey house has an elevated entrance. To access main entrance of the house, one has to ascend a stone staircase surrounded by lush greenery. To improve the impression of the entrance area, we created a cantilever canopy covered by glass and timber pergola. Opening the solid timber front door, one is greeted with a foyer area with a double – volume height. In this design, we have sought to properly define public (guests) and private (owner) spaces by creating a bronze - mirror divider between foyer and main staircase. We put living area, dining area and dry kitchen side by side without any divider, so we can create one continuous space in the second floor. While on the first floor we put car garage, make-up studio, wet kitchen and another service area. To make a breathable space we created some voids to make flowing air between floors. The living area and dining area located in front of the main courtyard with three elements. The inner court contains with trees, a fish pond as the water feature, wood deck and a floating wall covered with natural stones. We also use custom ventilation blocks to cover a service staircase from below to top floor, so the air inside the staircase core can still flow through these ventilations blocks. The main staircase covered by solid wood plank with a glass railing and wooden handle create a warm feeling inside the house. The stairs lead to the upper living room, two children bedrooms, bathroom and master bedroom which are connected by an aisle.
